Learning Motivation

Understanding Motivation Learning the simplest I personally think is something that moves people both physically or mentally to learn. In accordance with the original he says that is the motive which means something that provided the impetus or the energy to do something. Because we talk about learning then yes something that encourages us to learn to get something, maybe just knowledge or successive effects of knowledge such as skills, the effect of subsequent possible happiness, satisfaction, wealth, freedom, and of course the money so if connected to the internet learning marketing for example.

From some websites that I read, for example, Anne Ahira website (which has Asian Brain) I found some sense of motivation to learn, according to some experts. It's just that I read it is the understanding of motivation in general, special guns on motivation to learn. For example, understanding and motivation according Wexly Yulk are: giving or evocation motive. Meanwhile, according to Mitchell motivation represent psychological processes, which led to the emergence, at his point, and the persistence of volunteer activities that are directed to a specific destination.

I personally still guns are too concerned with understanding the motivation to learn what it was, it's important! What matters to me is we become happy and excited when his learning, so must also grateful to be learning, and more importantly guns just become Mr. Learner (the learners), but the ability to change knowledge into action. But it turns out, to make knowledge into Take Action Traffic will still need to learn too!

So understanding the motivation to learn is what? Maybe this: Motivation to learn is a condition or conditions that encourage, stimulate or move the person to learn something or or engaged in activities to achieve a goal.

What is Learn?

Learning is a relatively permanent change in behavior or potential behavior as a result of experience or training is strengthened .

Learning is a result of the interaction between stimulus and response . A person is considered to have learn something if he can show changes in behavior . According to this theory in learn what is important is that the form of input and output in the form of stimulus response .

Stimulus is whatever is given to student teachers , while the response in the form of student reaction to the stimulus or response given by the teacher. The process that occurs between stimulus and response is not important to note because it could not be observed and can not be measured , which can be observed is the stimulus and response , therefore, what is given by the teacher ( stimulus ) and what is received by the students ( response ) should be able to observed and measured .

Fun Learning Methods For Kids

1. Practical Examples
Besides kids learn theories from the textbook and do homework on their workbook, kids need practical examples. Take an example of give & take away with the real objects so kids can learn subtraction and addition easily.
2. Show and Tell
I guess every child likes to pretend play as a teacher. In show and tell, a child takes an initiative to be a teacher, an opportunity to explain to his peers about a particular topic. An example: when they study about flower or plant, each child can bring one particular flower or plant to classroom and she must gather the information about that particular plant or flower before show and tell. Kids will learn about presentation skill.
3. Mind Mapping & Visualization
I believe drawing and coloring is the most fun activity for kids. Why don’t transform information they learn into drawing and charts or map.
4. Case Study or Working in a Group
Kids love to think and they can find out the solution if we ask a question “why” or give them a case. Case study is an exercise which kids are taught to think in a real life situation which often prevail in adult working life. Students are normally required to work in a group. Besides exercising creative thinking skill, kids learn to work together to and to cooperate since they are young. They have to produce the solution or answer as a result of working in a group.
5. Quiz
Quiz can be a fun learning activity. Spelling quiz or a series of questions in maths or other subjects which students can compete against each other to answer the questions in a short time.
6. Project
Kids will learn how to summarize their observation, information and together with their creativity in a project. Below is the rain forest project that my child made when she learned about rain forest and visited rain forest.

How To Make Learning Fun

If you’ve been teaching students, young and old alike, you have probably encountered the greatest drawback in teaching history – boredom. Boredom can be a teacher’s greatest insult.
Imagine having to stand in front of a number of students, you’ve been talking on end, and your students aren’t listening. You start to think if you’re the reason why they’re bored. Maybe you are the one who’s boring and not the topic. More often than not, it is the approach to learning, and not you that’s making learning boring.
Making learning fun is an art as much as it is a practice. It is a practice because it requires a skilled and knowledgeable teacher with the right attitude to teach a number of students and to teach them well. It is an art because it sparks your imagination; it opens up your creativity, and makes use of your talents to make it fun as well as knowledgeable.
Tip number one is to incorporate lively examples in your lessons. These examples have to relate to the type of students you’re teaching. If you keep throwing them with examples that are not only funny and true to life but full of content as well, you are stimulating their brains to think. If the brain is stimulated, it won’t stagnate and become bored.

Tip number two is to motivate your learners. Making learning fun entails that students have to feel rewarded from the lessons they are absorbing. Generate interesting and open-ended questions that require their brains to think of an answer, rather than a yes or a no. Come up with great games that incorporate the lesson for the day in it. This allows students to get up and about rather than remaining seated for a whole hour or more. Games also allow students to apply what they have learned into real situations and are great evaluative tools for teachers.

Tip number three is to turn your attention on the students rather than the student’s attention on you. Students develop a greater appreciation to learn when they know their teacher is concerned about their wellbeing. It is in this type of situation that students learn that learning is fun and have fun in learning.

Tip number four is to evaluate your students’ capabilities and where they are at in learning. This will help you generate ideas and methods that all students will learn from rather than just a certain group. Some students take more time to learn than others, this shouldn’t be a hindrance for them to enjoy your lessons. Make sure that when you discuss the subject matter, everyone will learn and not a select few. If your methods are directed to those who only learn fast, those who take some time may feel discouraged and will choose not to immerse their selves in your discussion.
Perhaps the greatest secret all great teachers share is that no matter how boring the topic, if your students have a deep appreciation to learn, they will have fun. The secret then is to inculcating that appreciation in each of your students. If you have done that, then there is no limit to making learning fun for them.
